Synvisc-One (hylan G-F 20) is a 6ml, single-dose injection of gel-like hyaluronic acid used to treat knee osteoarthritis pain when conventional therapies fail. It acts as a lubricant and shock absorber, providing up to six months of relief. It is administered directly into the knee joint. 

->  Key Information for Synvisc-One Injection:  

• Purpose: Lubricates, cushions, and reduces pain/swelling in the knee joint.
• Dosage: A single 6 ml injection into the knee.
• Effectiveness: Provides relief for up to 6 months.
• Side Effects: Common, usually mild, side effects include knee pain, stiffness, swelling, fluid buildup, and redness/itching around the injection site.
• Recovery: Patients should rest the knee for at least 24 hours and avoid strenuous activity (running, lifting) for 48 hours.
• Contraindications: Do not use if you have allergies to hyaluronan products or infections in the knee.
• Storage: Should be stored between 15°C and 30°C and not frozen. 

-> Procedure and Precautions :  * Procedure: A doctor injects the gel into the knee joint. * Aftercare: If pain or swelling occurs, use an ice pack for 10 minutes. * Effectiveness: It is recommended for patients who have not found enough relief from                  exercise and pain relievers.
